Lane Creek Golf Club has been acquired by a team of talented professionals who are dedicated to producing a high quality golf experience for a reasonable price.

The man at the front of this team is Butch Foust. In becoming an owner/operator of his own golf course Butch has realized his lifelong dream.

Growing up in Anderson, SC, Butch learned his love of the game from his father, who was the Head Pro, Golf Course Superintendent, and General Manager of a public course.

Butch started early in golf and became a member of the T. L. Hanna State Champion Golf Team in high school. His love for the game continued to grow while he attended Penn State University where he earned his degree in Turfgrass Management.

After college Butch began his career in Golf Course Maintenance, working for local courses in Anderson, SC, and then moving on to world reknown Augusta National, host of The Masters Tournament, where he worked for 5 years.

For the last 8 of the 15 years of his term there, Butch has held the position of Senior Director of Golf Course Maintenance at Reynold's Plantation. During his tenure Butch was responsible for the conditioning of 6 world class golf courses at one of the highest rated golf destinations in the world.

Butch brings his considerable skill, experience, and motivation to his new venture as owner/operator of Lane Creek Golf Club. You can meet Butch everyday at the Pro Shop before your round, he is looking forward to meeting you!
